Tracy Wells Matheny

"According to her wishes, no services will be held for Traci Wells Matheny, who passed away March 25. She was 52. Mrs. Matheny was born March 5, 1955, in Danville, where she grew up. She graduated from Monte Vista High School in June 1973. In August 1977, she married Don Matheny. The couple lived in the Danville area for several years before moving to Grass Valley. Mrs. Matheny taught gymnastics at Diablo Valley College and was an avid snow and water skier and enjoyed many outdoor activities. She worked for Payless Drug and Raley’s as the manager of the cosmetics department for 20 years before retiring in 1997. Mrs. Matheny is survived by her husband, Don; stepson, Ryan Matheny; and father, Paul Wells. She was preceded in death by her brother, Curt, and mother, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to AnimalSave, P.O. Box 817, Grass Valley."
