Apparently he perished in a horrible motorcycle accident on Stone Valley Road not long after graduation.

Correct, right after he was riding with another MV student (forgot his name) on a motorcycle and a car come out of side street late at night. I think motorcycle was high speed and broadsided car. Both on cycle passed away.
